RunPace for iPhone
The same running pace calculator as on this site, but in your pocket and offline — plus three things the website does not have: race time predictions across distances, training paces from your VO₂max, and miles for those who run in them.
Free and ad-free, no account, no sign-in. Everything is calculated on your phone. The two screens marked Pro unlock with a single $1.99 purchase.
What the app does
Calculator
Pace and speed on two linked wheels — drag one and the other follows. Below them, finish times for every common distance, or splits for typical interval distances.
Race plan
Set a distance and a goal time, get the pace you need and an even split table. The same as the split tool here, only out on the course with you.
Race times Pro
Enter one result, get predictions for all the other distances, based on Riegel's formula. If you have a VO₂max in Apple Health, the app can use that as a starting point instead.
Training paces Pro
VDOT-based zones — easy, marathon, threshold, interval and repetition — set automatically from your VO₂max, with a twelve-month trend line. This is not on the website.
Made for runners
- Kilometres or miles — switch once and the whole app follows
- Light, dark or system appearance
- English and Norwegian
- No account and no sign-in — your numbers stay on your device
- Works offline, including where the signal fails on race day
What does it cost?
The app is free, with no ads. The calculator, the race plan with its split table and the settings cost nothing and are not locked behind anything.
RunPace Pro is a single $1.99 purchase that unlocks the two screens that do the harder maths for you: Race times, which estimates what you can run at the other distances, and Training paces, which sets your zones. No subscription, no account, and the purchase follows your Apple Account to every device you own.
If you had the app before version 2.0, you keep everything for free, permanently — the two Pro screens included. That is decided once and it does not change.
Requirements
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version yet — there you can add the website to your home screen instead, and it behaves like an app with its own icon and full screen.
