Frequently asked questions

How do I use the pace calculator?

Scroll the wheels to set a pace (min/km) or a speed (km/h) — both update automatically. Below the wheels you'll see estimated finish times for standard distances from 1 km up to a marathon.

How do I build a pacing / split plan?

Open the Pacing screen, pick a distance (or enter a custom one), and scroll in your target finish time. PaceLoop shows the required pace and a split-time table so you know what the clock should read at each interval.

What does the Apple Health feature do?

In the iOS app you can optionally allow PaceLoop to read your latest VO₂max (cardio fitness) value from Apple Health. It's used to suggest training zones and a starting point for race predictions. This is fully optional — every feature of the app works without it. See the callout below for details.

How do I turn Apple Health access on or off?

You can manage access any time in the app's settings, or on your device under Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PaceLoop. Turning it off does not affect any other feature.

Does PaceLoop collect my data?

The iOS app has no account, no ads and no tracking — all calculations happen locally on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere. The website uses only anonymised, self-hosted visit statistics. See the privacy policy for full details.

The app or website isn't working correctly

Try closing and reopening the app, or refreshing the page. If the problem continues, email us at kontakt@runpace.no with a short description and a screenshot if possible, and we'll look into it.

Apple Health & your privacy

PaceLoop uses Apple's HealthKit for a single, optional purpose: to read your most recent VO₂max value so it can estimate training zones and a race-prediction starting point.

The value is used only on your device, at that moment. It is never stored and never sent anywhere — not to PaceLoop and not to any third party. Granting Health access is entirely optional, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings without losing any functionality.
